I have a brand new (still in the box) SmartVest. Just delivered mid November 2009. It is an Adult Large. My husband was hospitalized when the unit arrived. Unfortuneatly he past away and never returned home to try it. If anyone is interesting in purchasing, please email me @ outlaw_girl@att.net

Wow, I feel your discomfort. I've got CF and had my dbl lung transplant in 1998 but even though I had a transplant I still have CF related issues like CFRD and sinus infections. I recently had surgery in August 2009 for my sinus. They removed polyps and biofilms. I had multiple infections in there as usual. They infections usually contaminate my lungs and I end up on IVs like when I had my CF lungs.

I'm on a insulin pump and had to battle for mine to. Medicare didn't approve it until my kidney function started to decline due to the CFRD.

I've had the pump for a year now. I would love the CGMS but my insurance won't cover it for now. My endo had to send multiple appeals for mine. I like having the pump but my insulin sensitivity fluctuates so much it's hard to get a stable basal rate.

Anyway, best of luck and I hope you feel better soon.

Hi everyone, wow it's about time I find some other people who know exactly how it feels to be "too thin looking." I'm just about 19 years old, but for the past 2 years or so, it's been impossible to gain any weight! If anything, I sleep and I lose a few lbs. I am 5'5" and I only weigh, on average, about 105, but it's not by choice!!!! I constantly eat, in fear that someone else will come along and comment on how tiny I am or how I need to eat more. It's embarrassing because there isn't a thing I can do about it, so this drives me to eat more. I don't eat specifically healthy, I just eat what I want, when I want, and how much of it I want. I agree, the doctors and family members that say they would LOVEEEE to trade places with me are crazy. It's very tiring to have to eat; to have to not be hungry but still be determined to cram your stomach. It's been hard, I haven't found any diets to help me maintain a constant weight, or even ideally gain some weight. My only solution has been to eat non stop, or else not eat, and anticipate the comments of someone else who thinks I'm too skinny. I think some more recipes need to be put up here, and some other food recommendations please. Thank you, good luck to all!
